CAPSTONE
After a full 2 years of nursing school, it is now time to choose my capstone. Capstone is my last semester of nursing school. Every student is put in an area of the hospital and are expected to complete 220 hours of clinical throughout the semester. I will be following a nurse and pretty much working the same schedule she does. It is like free labor, basically... But anyway, it has come time for me to put in my requests as to where I should go and what area of the hospital I should go to. Ryan and I will probably be living in South Jordan, or somewhere closer to where he will be working, so I will probably want to do a hospital in the Salt Lake area. So far there are two areas in the hospital that I would like to work

ER - you can do anything after you've done ER. And I would think there's more action there than anywhere else in the hospital (mostly unplanned, and you seem to want "action"). What are you going to do today at work dear? "Dunno.....who can say what crazy things people are going to come up with to get themselves in trouble to have to visit me today"

ReplyDeleteSeriously, though...if I were you, I would pick labor and delivery. We all know that I DON'T like the unexpected. I like to know what's going to happen for the most part. The ER would cause my blood pressure to sky rocket, all my arteries would explode, and I would BECOME an ER patient. Labor and delivery, on the other hand, would allow me to hold babies all day. Well...at least look at babies all day :)

Well.. I'm past the Tuesday cut off.. but I think you should go with L & D. Only because I'm completely obsessed with everything baby right now and it would be nice to talk to someone who knows what they are talking about! Plus, I think you wont get nearly as many weirdos, awkward situations and sad stories to tell! But I think in that way I must be more like Lynne! I'd rather talk baby talk then talk drunk guy who did something stupid talk!
