A Day of Gratitude

We had such a fun Thanksgiving this year. I was really looking forward to it this year because it meant we got to get out of the freezing cold weather. We got to take Lynne and Owen along on our long drive to CA so we had loads of fun! We got to California late Wednesday night and we were totally exhausted so we went straight to bed.
The next day was Thanksgiving. Mom made her infamous waffles for breakfast. Yum. Then it came time for preparing the Thanksgiving grub while the boys watched football and played Family Feud on Scott's phone. Then there was Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma Donna's. We had like a million people there and it was seriously delicious!! Love Thanksgiving food!

On Friday, we had the best day at Disneyland thanks to Scott and some of his friends. The whole family went (we even got Dad to spend half a day there!) All the kids had so much fun running around and seeing Mickey and all. We went on a bunch of rides, saw all the fun Christmas decorations, saw World of Color (awesome), and got VIP seats for the firework show! It was an amazing day and we were so so so exhausted afterward.

California Screamin! One of my favorite rides!
Fun Autopia! I rode with Charlotte and she couldn't see over the steering wheel so we were basically just bouncing back and forth and she was cracking up! It was hilarious!

On Saturday we had to sleep in so we could recover from our long Disneyland day. The boys watched the Michigan vs Ohio State game which put Ryan in a good mood for the rest of the day. Then we headed to the car show in LA to look at all the fun new cars coming out. It was fun to see all the new models and dream about which car we would buy if we were rich. (I think Ryan and I both decided on the BMW.) The car show wore us out even more so we headed home and had a wonderful dinner at good old Fudruckers.

Sunday was Lynne's birthday so we had a good family dinner with cake and ice cream to celebrate.

Happy Birthday to Lynne. The boys were a little weary of the fun sparkler candles.

Monday the boys had all gone back to Utah so us girls went and had our nails done for some pampering and then headed off for some shopping. Basically what us girls do best when we are all together. It was a really fun day! Tuesday we just got up and drove back to freezing cold Utah. It was a really long drive but it was worth it to spend the weekend in California. I love having the whole family together with all the grandkids together playing. It was such a warm fun weekend! Can't wait until we get to go back!

These are some cute boys! They will be best friends one day
Trying to get a good picture of all the grandkids together is pretty much impossible
