Brooke making a house and Nathan eating all the candy!
I got a little busy holding the cute baby so Ryan had to help me keep my house standing. Harder than it looks.
The boys' house was pretty much a disaster zone but as Nate said, "It was really about being together and having fun, and I had fun!"
This is my house that took like 24 hours to make. I had to let it dry overnight so that I could actually put candy on the roof without it collapsing. But I finally finished it the next day and it turned out really cute! (Love the brick). It won't be entering any contests or anything but at least I had fun making it!
Brooke's house won the contest because hers was the only one that didn't keep falling down. She didn't have time to finish decorating it so she left it at our house and I decorated it for her. It was fun to decorate a house that wasn't constantly falling down!
Those are some sweet gingerbread houses. We made one of those that had pre-made gingerbread sides and it still kept falling down. I guess it's the frosting that counts. You could be ace of cakes with those decorating skills. And all in all it's really about eating them, just ask Cadzie.
ReplyDelete(Jason) well what the hay bro? We were there for two days hanging with nate and co. and never saw you guys. Sure didn't see any ginger bread houses either. OK OK so we got to make some here. And they were with real red head...I mean real ginger bread. We wish we could have been there.
